Black Jacket Symphony Performs The Allman Brothers' “Eat A Peach"Mobile Alabama’s Saenger Theatre will come to life, September 12th, 2015, when The Black Jacket Symphony performs The Allman Brothers Band’s “Eat A Peach” album in its entirety!

The Black Jacket Symphony is a performance group that recreates classic rock albums note-for-note as true, symphonic pieces, then follows them up with a second set, more in the vein of a classic rock and roll concert, of the featured band’s greatest hits.

While certainly a tribute band of sorts, The Black Jacket Symphony’s performances go well beyond “just a tribute” status via the unique, detailed approach of their concerts and the high level of musicianship in the band.

Founded in 2009 by singer-songwriter J. Willoughby and guitarist and vocalist Damon Johnson, the rest of the the lineup of The Black Jacket Symphony changes from performance to performance as players are handpicked by Willoughby and Johnson specifically for the album/band to be reproduced.

Since its founding, The Black Jacket Symphony has covered such classics as The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, The Who’s Who’s Next, Rolling Stones’ Let It Bleed, Led Zeppelin IV, Prince’s Purple Rain, and more – all to high and popular acclaim.

Eat a Peach is the third studio album by the classic Southern rock band the Allman Brothers Band and the last to feature group leader and guitarist Duane Allman, who was killed in a motorcycle accident during the album’s recording. Released in 1972, the double-album was an immediate success, peaking at number 4 on Billboard‍‍  and going on to be certified platinum. A mix of live and studio material – the latter from the band’s famed Fillmore East performances – Eat A Peach remains a best seller in the band’s catalog and should prove excellent ground for The Black Jacket Symphony to once again so reverently tread.
