Ever wanted to travel the world, to experience all the different cultures? The Mobile International Festival provides the next best thing – November 21, 2015 at the Mobile Civic Center!

The 32nd annual Mobile International Festival is your opportunity to travel the world without ever needing a passport or leaving the United States! You’ll experience food, music, dances, storytelling, shopping, exhibits, art and fun from 70 different nations around the world – and all of it in Mobile, Alabama’s Mobile Civic Center!

The Mobile International Festival was started in 1983 as a way to give Mobile area residents an opportunity to celebrate, share, and experience the broad array of cultural heritages alive in the region. Recent immigrants, long-time U.S. residents, and Native Americans make up the nearly 2,000 volunteers who take part in the festival each year, bringing the world to Mobile, AL.

You’ll see scores of exhibits illustrating the culture and heritage of different nations from the continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. You’ll hear people speaking dozens of different languages all around you, see their arts and crafts, their ceremonial dress, learn about their traditions, ceremonies, and beliefs.

Follow your nose to the Mobile International Festival food court and you’ll have the opportunity to sample and savor a vast range of ethnic and national dishes from over 30 different vendor booths; far more samples in one place than anyone could possibly hope to experience in a single sitting.

Perhaps best of all, The Mobile International Festival also includes continuous live, international entertainment on three stages! While the 2015 Mobile International Festival Entertainment Schedule has yet to be announced, previous year’s have included such fan favorites as the Matsuriza Japanese Traditional Taiko Drummers, the Kenya Safari Acrobats, the Mexican group Tuna de Derecho, and master-storyteller Akbar Imhotep.

Don’t miss it!
