Come to Mobile and experience Christmas Nights of Lights: the most amazing drive-thru Christmas light show you will ever see! Now through January 1st, 2018 at Mobile’s Hank Aaron Stadium.
Mobile’s annual Christmas Nights of Lights is a display of over 1 million LED lights that you can drive through in your car. The lights are programmed to dance, twinkle, and even “sing-along” in time to both new and traditional Christmas tunes by over 40,000 computer channels. Best of all, you can tune in to the music on your own car stereo!
This year’s Christmas Nights of Lights includes two 21-foot tall Christmas trees that can play video. Visitors will have a chance to see holiday favorites, such as Elsa singing “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen,” Santa, and others. Parents will be thrilled to hear that the music selection is quite diverse and includes something for everyone – not just for the tykes shrieking from the back seat.
Despite the attraction’s size and complexity, Christmas Nights of Lights is a family – not a corporate – affair. The display grew out of a local family’s love of both the Christmas holiday and its attendant decorations. What began as one family’s enthusiasm for the holiday season is now shared by thousands each year in Mobile. In fact, the display is so successful, a second, also family-run location was opened in Cincinnati, OH!
With so many visitors coming to their twinkling Christmas park, you’d imagine the owners to be swimming in the profits. True to the season, however, every year a big chunk of the proceeds goes to local charities. In 2017, for example, proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army, the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile, and the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital. Consequently, visiting Mobile’s Christmas Nights of Lights qualifies as a good deed unto itself!
Christmas Nights of Lights is $6 per person, with kids ages 3 and under are free. A Christmas Nights of Lights is located at Mobile’s Hank Aaron Stadium and takes around a half an hour to drive through. The attraction is open rain or shine. Arrive early and enjoy a visit to the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum!
