Mobile Downtown Cajun Cook-Off 2018If you like amazing Cajun food, save your appetite for the 2018 Downtown Cajun Cook-Off! The 4th annual return of this Cajun cooking festival promises delicious Cajun eats, live music, games, and giveaways. Saturday, March 24, 10am to 2pm, Mobile, AL.

Every Spring, Mobile’s Cathedral Square comes to life with the Downtown Cajun Cook-Off. The air will fill with the happy sounds of laughter, music, and the scent of delicious Cajun cuisine: green pepper, onion, celery, crawfish, shrimp, and andouille.

The Downtown Cajun Cook-Off was started in 2015 to replace the American Cancer Society Chili Cook-off after it outgrew Cathedral Square. Now in its fourth year, the Cajun Cook-Off continues to grow and is proving just as popular! More than 3500 people attended last year’s event and more are expected in 2018!

Mobile, AL has lots of interesting things to do and see but one which you many overlook is the Mobile Police Museum. Granted, it is a small collection but despite this, the museum contains many interesting exhibits.

The Mobile Police Museum faces Cathedral Square, at the intersection of Dauphin and Claiborne Streets, just 3 blocks from Malaga Inn. The museum, also known as the Dauphin Street Police Museum, is pretty easy to find – just look for the police station. The museum is located in the lobby!
