Come to Mobile, AL for the world's largest fishing tournament: Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo 2019! The deeply popular tournament is scheduled for July 19th through the 21st.
The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo (ADSFR) is a 3-day, Captain’s Choice tournament. The event was founded in 1929 and has been officially recognized as the world’s largest fishing tournament by The Guinness Book of World Records.
ADSFR attracts more than 3,500 anglers and 75,000 spectators from around the country each year. What makes this particular tournament so popular?
The large amount of categories and prizes.
ADSFR awards prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in 30 different categories. Yes, you read that right, 30 categories. Everything from speckled trout to swordfish. Awards are also given for Master Angler, King Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and Big Game Jackpots.
This year's total awards package is valued up to one million dollars in cash and prizes. This year's jackpot is a 22" Contender boat, motor, and trailer package. Wow!
Best of all, the jackpot winner is chosen at random from all entrants! This means that, even if you reeled in the smallest of fishes, you could still walk away with the 22" Contender boat, motor, and trailer. Now THAT is exciting.
