Celebrate The Return Of Spring At Mobile Botanical Gardens

Come celebrate the return of spring! Mobile Botanical Gardens' annual "Plantasia!" Spring Plant Sale and Providence Hospital's Festival of Flowers both help to set the stage every March. Come revel in the natural beauty and great plant deals this March in Mobile, AL. It may be hard to believe but warmer weather really is on the way. Spring is always such a relief after months of colder, greyer weather. Nothing uplifts the spirits - or your house or yard - like beautifully flowering plants. The Mobile area explodes with celebrations of spring every March. Not only does nature begin its greening in earnest, it's also time for the Festival of Flowers and Plantasia, the Spring Plant Sale Mobile Botanical Gardens. Mobile Botanical Gardens are always good for a visit but that's especially true in spring and fall when they hold their titanic plant sales!

Plantasia! is the annual spring plant sale held every March at Mobile Botanical Gardens. If you're looking to refresh the foliage around your house, yard, or garden , this is the sale for you! 3-days and thousands of plants for sale, all specially selected for the Gulf Coast climate. Citrus, vegetables, herbs, azaleas, camellias, hydrangeas, trees, vines, ferns, roses, groundcovers, and natives. Most of the plants offered have grown on-site by Mobile Botanical Gardens volunteers. Be sure to check out all the rare and unusual plants featured in the "Fab & Funky" section! Plantasia, held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, is preceded by Thursday's Opening Night Preview Party. Wine, hors d’oeuvres, and music accompany the lucky shoppers who get first pick of the plants during the Preview Party.

The Festival of Flowers is the largest outdoor flower show in the Southeast. Local horticultural organizations, landscaping companies, florists, vendors, and others come together each year for the event. Festival of Flowers is held each year at Mobile's Providence Hospital. A vast canopy of white tents fill the hospital park to create a vibrant greenspace alive with floral flair. The festival of Flowers also includes a variety of connected events and experiences at places around Mobile, such as Bellingrath Gardens and Home. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Festival of Flowers and, as such, promises even more excitement than usual. Don't miss it!
