Come to Mobile for the 65th annual return of Alabama's largest state fair, Greater Gulf State Fair 2019: October 25th through November 3rd, 2019! If you've never experienced the annual Greater Gulf State Fair in Mobile, AL, you're truly missing out. The 65 year-old event is pretty young, as state fairs go - but it certainly isn't small! The fair transforms Mobile's The Grounds into a small city for a full 10 days, drawing more than 100,000 people. Mobile's Greater Gulf State Fair is a real state fair, as such, it offers all the classic attraction you'd expect at such an event - and then some!

The annual Rodeo at the fair is always a big draw. This year's rodeo is scheduled for 6pm on ​October 25th and 26th. You'll see bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and more. The action and excitement of the rodeo never fails to fill up the arena grandstand. Another traditional aspect of the fair is the annual Agriculture and Livestock Show found in the Grounds' barn. Come get an up close and personal look at the farm side of the farm-to table movement. 2,000-lb. cattle, award-winning hogs, hand-raised chickens, and much more. If you like amusement rides, you'll love the Greater Gulf State Fair Midway. The fair has some of the biggest and best new and classic adult amusement rides. The kiddos have their own section, so you can enjoy all the thrill you can stomach. Right on! Speaking of your stomach, it will enjoy itself, as well. The fair Chomping Grounds feature 20 different local food vendors offering up one of the widest selections of amazing food options you'll ever see. The fair is also home to the annual Marketplace, where you'll find a wide selection of both unique handmade crafts and retail items. Greater Gulf State Fair 2019 also includes tons of entertainment. From live bands and stage shows to wandering performers, you have to really work hard to get bored at the fair! Pirates of the Sky will also stun you with their tales of fortune and gold - acted out from atop an 80 foot mast!
