Odyssey Marine Exploration is an American company that finds and salvages deep-water shipwrecks. Their world-class team of researchers, scientists, technicians, and archaeologists has discovered hundreds of shipwrecks around the globe.
The company has surveyed and mapped more than 26,000 square miles of seabed and discovered hundreds of shipwrecks. Some of the more famous finds include the SS Republic, the HMS Victory, the SS Gairsoppa, and the SS Central America. Odyssey dives on sites of interest using advanced robotic technology.
Much more than mere treasure seekers, Odyssey Marine Exploration are commercial marine archaeologists that recover history from the depths. Along with the rare treasures recovered, lost ships are found and gaps in history are filled.

Attractions include the aforementioned artifacts, an underwater submersible simulator, and other exhibits detailing Odyssey's technology and recovery process. One very popular attraction is the hurricane simulator! This fantastic exhibit allows you to experience gusts of wind equivalent to a category one hurricane!
GulfQuest National Maritime Museum of the Gulf Coast is a 90,000 square foot, glass-walled, ship-shaped museum on the Mobile riverfront. The facility's unique design includes a life-sized replica of a container ship, surrounded by water, inside the museum!
The museum's state-of-the-art, interactive, multi-media exhibits range from maritime history and marine archaeology to marine life, weather, and even the peoples of the region. The GulfQuest gift shop is full of unique items and the cafe offers some of the best views of the busy of Port of Mobile.
