The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo 2017 (ADSFR) is the world's largest fishing tournament, scheduled for July 21st through the 23rd, 2017 on Alabama's Dauhpin Island!
2017 marks the 84th anniversary of the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, which was listed as the world's largest fishing tournament in the 2011 Guinness World Records, More than 3,000 anglers from at least 24 states are expected to spend 3 days fishing the Gulf of Mexico for up to one million dollars in cash and prizes. One Master Angler is awarded.
The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo also hosts the Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament (RMYAT) on July 15th, 2017. This event is for children 15 years and younger and attracts more than 1500 young anglers each year. This one-day event is handled similarly to the adult rodeo except that it has 31 categories instead of 30.
Beyond the fishing, the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo also includes a number of land-based events and attractions, including live music, contests, and more. Don't miss it!
