The 30th Annual Alabama Pecan Festival

If you like pecans, particularly if you're partial to pecan pie, then Mobile, Alabama has a 3-day festival for you: the 30th annual Alabama Pecan Festival - November 6th through the 8th, 2015. Pecans have been an important part of Alabama produce since the 1940's, when the crops that were begun in the early 1900's really started to take off. The Alabama Pecan Festival is a salute to this success story and the humble, delicious little fruit that most of us think of as a nut: the pecan! The Alabama Pecan Festival - a 3-day celebration held in Mobile, AL - features cook-offs for dishes like best barbecue and best hamburger, an antique wooden boat show, arts and crafts vendors, antique cars and tractors, a carnival with rides, the crowning of the new Alabama Pecan Festival Queen and, of course, music!
