If you are wanting to step into history and learn more about your country, come and explore the history of the USS Alabama at the Battleship Memorial Park.

At the Battleship Memorial Park you can learn more about the different submarines, aircraft, guns, and more. You have the opportunity to explore the inside of the oldest submarine displayed. You won't want to miss out on the variety of unique aircraft there is to see! The A-12 Blackbird Spy Plane, OS2U Kingfisher, F-86L Sabre Jet, B-52 Bomber, and more! You can also experience what it feels like to fly without ever leaving the ground. The Flight Simulator is fun for all ages and great for those with a fear of heights. Come and explore with your family!

Need a break from learning and exploring? At the Battleship Memorial Park there is a gift shop that you can enjoy with your family. The gift shop will help you remember your visit for years to come! Another great break option is The Galley! The Galley is a cafe where you can grab a bite to eat and re-energize the entire family! Burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, and sandwiches. If you are just looking for a snack, The Galley has you covered! Grab popcorn, muffins, chips, and more!

A recommended 2-3 hours is usually spent at the museum, but tickets are for the whole day. General admission is $15 for 12 years and older. Children ages 6-11 cost $6 and Senior Citizens ages 55 and older cost $13.

The Battleship Memorial Park is open every day except Christmas day. April through September the park is open from 8 am to 6 pm. October through March the park is open from 8 am to 5 pm. The last ticket of the day is sold one hour before closing.
